Deep Blues Festival 2009 – Bluesboy Jag, North Little Rock AR
“I started playing 30 years ago. Up until 4 years ago I always played with other people in a band. Then I learned how to play blues. I started playing instrumental blues but couldn’t get many gigs so I taught myself how to sing by singing the melody lines that I was playing with my slide guitar. I added foot drums and harmonica. The first gigs I had were busking here in Little Rock three years ago. This year I’ve played several out of state gigs as well as blues festivals and many local shows. My hand made cigar box guitars and suitcase bass drum keep the crowd entertained and I’m enjoying playing this music more than any other musical endeavor I’ve been associated with over the past thirty years.
